After studying contemporary jazz at the Moscow Conservatory for few years, Nita came back to Jakarta to become Indonesia’s state pianist for more than a decade, performing for prestigious guest such as Bill Clinton, Sultan Bolkiah and Prince Bernard, to name a few. Musician, composer and arranger, Nita has worked with many awarded Indonesian musicians, as well as with some Dutch jazzmen in studio and also at live performances.
Nita said, “Music is like home to me. It’s like a dining room where I have my harmony food, it’s like a bed to lie down and relax my mind from my restlessness, it’s like a living room where I join my fellow musicians, and even a spiritual room for my peace and inspiration. Music is also like a big garden for joy, fun and excitement.” Be transported in a wink to Brazil, feeling the warmth air of Rio de Janeiro and the hot rhythms of Copacabana.
